Teaching Methodology
Education at Parevartan is a journey full of opportunities and fulfilment. We are a K-12 inclusive Premium CBSE School that envisions Academic Excellence.
While there is constant exchange of information all over, seldom do we find regular discussions on ethical standards and demonstrating values. At Parevartan, we firmly believe that cultivation of good values, a sense of appreciation for life and a questioning mind are very essential for a child’s upbringing. Inculcating higher standards and moral values will help children to brave life’s challenges with confidence. Our efforts are focused to aid their thinking to be true and just, and their minds tuned to critical and emotional reasoning, eventually resulting in character-building.
Learning is an experience that we remember. We believe the teaching methodologies are critical and should be differentiated as per learner needs. There is no ‘one size fits all’ method at a school level. Teachers actively students in the learning process by choosing methodologies that address the needs of diverse students at different learning levels.
We focus on the objective that every student learns and improves from whichever level he is at present and starts climbing the ladder of learning. The comparison is not between students themselves but between where they were before and where they are now. We push students to do their best – we don’t push them to beat records. Thus there is pressure to perform but students don’t fear failure.
Our teaching methods include:
Experiential Learning : Our Curriculum provides a child learning through a 5-Step Experiential Learning Method of learning through meaningful experiences which help children understand the concepts and hence perform better. This way they will discover triggered by experience that the answers to most of the questions exist within them. Designed by highly renowned educational experts world over, our experiential learning curriculum covers all aspects of learning from telling, experiencing , analysing, acting and reflecting for quality learning resulting in transformation.
Inquiry-based learning : Facilitators emphasize a strong student-teacher relationship. The student’s role in the learning process is emphasized. Rather than the teacher telling students what they need to know, students are encouraged to explore the material, ask questions, and share ideas.
Personal learning : Aims to customize learning for each student’s strengths, needs, skills, and interests.
Classroom Instructions : Aims to customize learning for each student’s strengths, needs, skills, and interests.
Activity-Based learning : where students actively participate in the learning experience rather than sit as passive listeners and are constantly engaged and challenged.
Teachers are also active learners and encouraged to develop positive attitudes, set goals, and establish high expectations for students.
